Mud, Mud, Mud

Haven't done much caching recently. Unfortunately work and dark evenings have gotten in the way.
I've decided to try, once again, to see if I can fill in all the days on my finds calendar - it's called the Jasmer challenge.

I've managed to do 3rd December and 6 December, finding quick cache and dashes after work.  The biggest test will be from 15th to 23rd December and then of course Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

It was a lovely sunny day when I woke up yesterday and being a Saturday it meant I could actually go out for a walk rather than to go to work.  Hooray.

Grabbed the dogs took off to Mountnessingto pick up a small circuit of caches.  There was plenty of water about with some of the roads having huge puddles.  The footpaths were a bit muddy too.  This is one particularly bad stretch.  The dogs had a whale of a time and Millie need a bath when we got home.  You can just about see the two of them in this photo.

After the walk, I got back to my car to find I couldn't get it out of the soft grass verge.  Oh dear. What to do.  I tried putting the car floor mats under the front tyres but the car still wasn't budging.  So I waved down the next car to come along the country road and thankfully they stopped and offered to help push me out. Then a chap in a van came along and fortunately he had a tow rope. The rope was quickly attached to the two cars and I was soon out of the mud.

Then it was back home to clean up and write up the logs.
